This Privacy Policy describes how Useful ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our social media publishing and scheduling services (the "Services").
Account and authorization information. When you connect a social media account (such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok), we receive OAuth authorization tokens and basic account identifiers (such as account IDs, page IDs, and display names) from the corresponding platform. We use these tokens solely to publish, schedule, and manage content on your behalf and to maintain the connection.
Content you submit. Post text, images, videos, scheduling preferences, and other content you submit through the Services.
Usage data. Basic operational logs such as timestamps of publishing actions and error diagnostics, used to operate and troubleshoot the Services.
Contact information. Your email address if you provide it for account or support purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content or account data to train machine learning models or to serve advertising.
Authorization tokens granted through OAuth are stored encrypted and used only to interact with the platform that issued them, at your direction. When you disconnect an account, we delete the associated tokens at the next scheduled cleanup.
Your use of connected platforms remains subject to each platform's own terms and privacy policy. Platforms may provide data or events (such as comment webhooks) to the Services; these are processed only to deliver the Services.
We share information only as necessary to operate the Services:
We retain authorization tokens and account connections for as long as you keep the account connected. Published post records and logs are retained for a reasonable operational period and then deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption of tokens and credentials at rest, transport encryption (HTTPS) for data in transit, and access controls limiting token use to the Services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to revoke an application's access to your platform accounts at any time through the platform's own settings (for example, in Instagram's "Apps and Websites" settings or Google's security settings). Revoking access on the platform will stop the Services from acting on that account.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information or account data, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and will delete connected account data upon verified request or upon disconnection of the account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
